ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Ghawth ibn Jābir informed us; he said: “I heard ʿAbdullāh ibn Ṣafwān ibn Kalbī—one of the Abnāʾ—relate from his father, from Wahb ibn Munabbih, that it was found in some of the Scriptures of the Prophets:

‘Allah, Exalted is He, says: Whoever seeks support by taking the wealth of the poor, I shall make poverty his ultimate lot; and any house that is built through exploiting the strength of the powerless, I shall make its final outcome desolation.’”
