497 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; ʿAbd al-Wahhab al-Khaffaf narrated to us; Saʿd informed us, from Qatadah—al-Khaffaf said, and I also heard Musa al-Aswari—who said: “Allah, exalted be He, revealed to a prophet from among the prophets of the Children of Israel (peace be upon him): ‘Every descendant of Adam is prone to sin, and the best of those who sin are those who repent.’”
