ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad al-Adrami narrated to me; Thabit ibn Ishaq informed us; Ibn al-Mubarak informed us; Sufyan ibn ʿUyaynah said, “I heard Khalid ibn Hawshab say: Jesus son of Mary said to the disciples, ‘Just as the kings have left wisdom to you, so leave the life of this world to them.’”
٤٧٧ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَذْرَمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ خَالِدَ بْنَ حَوْشَبٍ يَقُولُ: " قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ لِلْحَوَارِيِّينَ: كَمَا تَرَكَ لَكُمُ الْمُلُوكُ الْحِكْمَةَ، فَدَعُوا لَهُمُ الدُّنْيَا "
