Hadith 416: ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said, ʿUbayd Allah al-Qawārīrī narrated to us; Muʿādh—meaning Ibn Hishām—narrated to us; my father narrated to me, from ʿĀmir al-Ahwal, from ʿAbd al-Malik ibn ʿĀmir, from Nauf al-Bikālī, who said:
Abraham (peace be upon him) said, “My Lord, there is no one on earth who worships You but me.” Thereupon Allah—glorified and exalted be He—sent down three thousand angels, and Abraham led them in prayer for three days.
٤١٦ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ نَوْفٍ الْبِكَالِيِّ قَالَ: " قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ (عليه السلام): يَا رَبِّ، إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَحَدٌ يَعْبُدُكَ غَيْرِي، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ ثَلَاثَةَ آلَافِ مَلَكٍ، ⦗٦٨⦘ فَأَمَّهُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ "
