Hadith 414: ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said, “My father narrated to me.” He said, “Abu Muʿawiyah narrated to us,” al-Aʿmash narrated to us, from ʿAbd Allah ibn Fulful—a man of the household of Abu Layla—from ʿAli (may Allah be pleased with him) concerning the Divine statement: “O fire, be coolness and safety for Abraham” (Qurʾan 21:69). He said: “Had He not added the words ‘and safety,’ its coolness would have killed him.”
