- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us—he said: al-Salt ibn Masʿūd informed us; Ḥammād ibn Zayd reported to us; Jaʿfar al-Ḍubaʿī narrated, from Ibn Abī Mulaykah, who said:
“When Abraham—peace be upon him—passed away and met Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, it was said to him, ‘O Abraham, how did you find death?’ He replied, ‘My Lord, I felt my soul being torn out in the midst of affliction.’ Thereupon he was told, ‘Then We have indeed lightened it for you.’”
