402 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father informed me; Abu Bakr al-Hanafi informed us; ʿAbd al-Hamid ibn Jaʿfar al-Ansari narrated to us; al-Hasan ibn al-Hasan ibn ʿAli ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with them) related to me that Amat-Allah Fatimah bint Husayn told him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“Among the worst of my community are those who have been reared in luxury—those who look for every variety of food and every variety of clothing, and who strut about with pretentious speech.”
