- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; ʿAbd al-Razzaq informed us; ʿAbd al-Samad ibn Maʿqil related that he heard Wahb ibn Munabbih say: “A herald called out from the sky: ‘Yahya son of Zakariyya is the foremost of everyone born of woman, and Jurjis is the foremost of the martyrs.’”
٣٩٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أبِي، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ مَعْقِلٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ وَهْبَ بْنَ مُنَبِّهٍ يَقُولُ: «نَادَى مُنَادٍ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَنَّ يَحْيَى بْنَ زَكَرِيَّا سَيِّدُ مَنْ وَلَدَتِ النِّسَاءُ، وَأَنَّ جُورْجِيسَ سَيِّدُ الشُّهَدَاءِ»
