383. ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Ibrāhīm ibn Khālid narrated to us; ʿAbdullāh ibn Abī ʿĀṣim informed me that he heard Wahb ibn Munabbih say:

“Allah—glorified and exalted be He—revealed to Moses, peace be upon him: ‘Your people build houses for Me and offer sacrifices in My name, yet I neither dwell in houses nor eat meat. The sign between Me and them is that they render justice equally to the rich and to the poor. The mark between Me and them is this: when they please the needy, I am pleased; but when they anger them, My anger is upon them.’”
