378. ʿAbdullāh narrated to us—my father narrated to me—Rawḥ and Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us—ʿAwf narrated to us—from Khālid. Muḥammad said, “He is Khālid ibn Thābit al-Rabaʿī,” who reported:

“I came across the opening passage of the Zabur, the scripture known as the Psalms of David (peace be upon him): ‘The foundation of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, Glorified and Exalted be He.’”
