370. ʿAbdullāh narrated to us—my father narrated to me—Ibrāhīm ibn Khālid narrated to us; ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Darīyah informed me, saying: “It has reached me that among the supplications of David—peace be upon him—was:

‘O Allah, do not leave me in poverty that makes me forget, nor grant me wealth that causes me to transgress.’”
