340 – ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; my father narrated to me; ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated, saying: I heard Wahb say: Al-Khiḍr said to Moses son of ʿImrān (peace be upon him) when he met him: “O Moses son of ʿImrān, abandon contentiousness; do not walk about unless you have a need; do not laugh without something that truly amazes you; stay in your house, and weep over your sin.”
