338 – ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Ibrāhīm ibn Khālid narrated to us; ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān related to me that he heard Wahb ibn Munabbih say: “Jesus son of Mary said to the disciples, ‘Truly, I say to you’—and Jesus would often say, ‘Truly, I say to you’—‘the one among you who is most enamored of this world will be the one most stricken with alarm when calamity strikes.’”
