315. ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Bahz narrated to us; Abū Hilāl narrated to us; and Bakr ibn ʿAbd Allāh said:

“The disciples lost track of their Prophet—peace be upon him—and went out searching for him. They eventually found him walking upon the water. One of them said, ‘O Prophet of God, may we walk over to you?’ He answered, ‘Yes.’ The man set down one foot, but when he went to place the other he sank. Jesus then said, ‘Give me your hand, O you of little faith! If the son of Adam possessed even the weight of a grain—or a single speck—of certitude, he would walk upon the water.’”
