- ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; my father informed us; Hāshim narrated to us; al-Faraj ibn Faḍālah narrated to us, from Abū Rāshid, from Yazīd ibn Maysarah, who said:
Jesus son of Mary—peace be upon him—said, “How is it that I do not see among you the finest act of worship?”
They replied, “And what is the finest act of worship, O Spirit of Allah?”
He answered, “Humility before Allah, Glorified and Exalted.”
٣١٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا أبِي، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفَرَجُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ قَالَ: " قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ (عليه السلام): مَا لِي لَا أَرَى فِيكُمْ أَفْضَلَ الْعِبَادَةِ؟ قَالُوا: وَمَا أَفْضَلُ الْعِبَادَةِ يَا رُوحَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: التَّوَاضُعُ لِلَّهِ – Exalté soit-Il – "
