- ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us—my father informed us—Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAbd al-Karīm narrated to us—ʿAbd al-Ṣamad told me that he heard Wahb ibn Munabbih say:
The Messiah, peace be upon him, said: “Make abundant mention of Allah—His praise and His glorification—and obey Him. For it is enough for one of you, when Allah is pleased with him, to say in supplication: ‘O Allah, forgive me my sin, set right my livelihood, and grant me well-being from every hardship, O my God.’”
٣٠٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا أبِي، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ وَهْبَ بْنَ مُنَبِّهٍ يَقُولُ: " قَالَ الْمَسِيحُ: " أَكْثِرُوا ذِكْرَ اللَّهِ – Exalté soit-Il – وَحَمْدَهُ وَتَقْدِيسَهُ، وَأَطِيعُوهُ فَإِنَّمَا يَكْفِي أَحَدَكُمْ مِنَ الدُّعَاءِ، إِذَا كَانَ اللَّهُ – Exalté soit-Il – رَاضِيًا عَنْهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ: اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي مَعِيشَتِي، وَعَافِنِي مِنَ الْمَكَارِهِ، يَا إِلَهِي "
