- ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us—my father narrated to us—Sayyār narrated to us—Jaʿfar narrated to us—Mālik ibn Dīnār narrated:
Allah revealed to Jesus son of Mary, peace be upon him: “O Jesus, admonish your own self; if it takes heed, then admonish the people, and if not, be ashamed before Me.”
٣٠٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أبِي، حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ قَالَ: «أَوْحَى اللَّهُ إِلَى عِيسَى (عليه السلام) أَنْ يَا عِيسَى عِظْ نَفْسَكَ، فَإِنِ اتَّعَظْتَ فَعِظِ النَّاسَ، وَإِلَّا فَاسْتَحِ مِنِّي»
