295. ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us—my father informed us—ʿAwf ibn Jābir informed us; he said: “I heard ʿAbd Allāh report from Ṣafwān—meaning Ibn al-Kalbī—and from Wahb’s granddaughter, both of whom related from his father, from Wahb, who said:

‘Affliction for the believer is like the hobble placed on a riding beast.’”
