- ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us—my father narrated to me—ʿAbd al-Razzāq informed us—Munḏir ibn al-Nuʿmān reported: I heard Wahb ibn Munabbih say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “When Allah loves a people, He subjects them to trials.”
٢٨٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أبِي، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَنَا مُنْذِرُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ وَهْبَ بْنَ مُنَبِّهٍ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ – Exalté soit-Il – إِذَا أَحَبَّ قَوْمًا ابْتَلَاهُمْ»
