Al-ZuhdAhmad Ibn Hanbal
  1. ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us—my father narrated to us—ʿAbd al-Raẓẓāq narrated to us—Wuhayb ibn al-Ward al-Ḥaḍramī al-Makkī informed us, saying:

“When Allah reproached Noah regarding his son, He revealed to him, ‘Indeed, I admonish you lest you become one of the ignorant’ (Hūd 11:46). Noah then wept for three hundred years, until the skin beneath his eyes resembled water channels from the intensity of his weeping.”
