ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Rūḥ narrated to us; ʿAwf informed us, on the authority of Maʿbad al-Juhanī, who said: “Nothing impelled Adam—peace be upon him—to eat from the tree except covetousness.”
