- ʿAbdullāh narrated to us and said: My father narrated to us; Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, who reported—though I am not sure whether he said, “He informed us” or “I heard”—from Abū Ṣāliḥ, on the authority of a man among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ. The Companion related: A man said to the Prophet ﷺ, “Tell me of a deed that will admit me to Paradise. Keep it short, so that I can grasp it.” He replied, “Do not become angry.”
