- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us; al-Mubarak narrated to us, from al-Hasan, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, “Which deed is the best?” He replied, “That you die—on the very day you die—while your tongue is moist with the remembrance of Allah, exalted is He.”
٢٣٥٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أيُّ الْعَمَلِ خَيْرٌ؟ قَالَ: «تَمُوتُ يَوْمَ تَمُوتُ وَلِسَانُكَ رَطْبٌ مِنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ – Exalté soit-Il –»
