ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; al-Aswad ibn ʿĀmir narrated to us, from Jarīr ibn Ḥāzim, from al-Ḥasan, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
“When people sit together to remember Allah—exalted is He—Allah says to His angels, ‘I have already forgiven them, so enfold them in mercy.’ The angels say, ‘Our Lord, among them is so-and-so.’ He replies, ‘They are a gathering; no one who sits with them will ever be miserable on their account.’”}
