2327 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Hushaym narrated to us; al-ʿAwwam informed us, from someone who related to him, from Abu Muslim al-Khawlani, who used to say: “Beware of harboring suspicions about the believers, for Allah (Exalted is He) places the truth in their hearts and upon their tongues.”
٢٣٢٧ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَنْبَأَنَا الْعَوَّامُ، عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: «إِيَّاكُمْ وظُنُونَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ؛ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ – Exalté soit-Il – يَجْعَلُ الْحَقَّ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَى أَلْسِنَتِهِمْ»
