2316 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us, saying, “My father narrated to me; Abū al-Mughīra narrated to us; Ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated to us; Shuraḥbīl ibn Muslim narrated to me, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from Abū Muslim al-Khawlānī, that he heard him say: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, ‘Allah has not revealed to me that I should accumulate wealth or become one of the traders. Rather, He revealed to me: “So glorify your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate; and worship your Lord until certainty (death) comes to you.” (Surah al-Ḥijr, 15:99).’”
