2301 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; al-Hasan ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAziz al-Jarawi narrated to us; he said: Damrah wrote to us, from Rajaʾ ibn Abi Salamah, who said: Ibn Muhayriz would bring a letter to ʿAbd al-Malik containing sincere counsel. He would have him read it, but would not leave it in his hand.
٢٣٠١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْجَرَوِيُّ قَالَ: كَتَبَ إِلَيْنَا ضَمْرَةُ عَنْ رَجَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ ابْنُ مُحَيْرِيزٍ يَجِيءُ بِالْكِتَابِ إِلَى عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ وَفِيهِ النَّصِيحَةُ فَيُقْرِئُهُ إِيَّاهُ ثُمَّ لَا يُقِرُّهُ فِي يَدِهِ "
