Al-ZuhdAhmad Ibn Hanbal

2300 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; al-Hakam ibn Musa Abu Salih narrated to me; Damrah narrated to us, from ʿAli ibn Abi Hamlah, from Muslim ibn Yasar, who said: I heard a man calling down a curse upon someone who had wronged him. Muslim ibn Yasar said to him, “Leave the wrongdoer to the consequences of his own wrongdoing, for it will overtake him more quickly than your supplication against him—unless he rescues himself through righteous action, and that, in all probability, he will not do.”
