2285 – ʿAbd Allah related to us; my father related to me; Kathir ibn Hisham related to us; Jaʿfar ibn Burqan related to us. Ṣalih ibn Mismar said: “Indeed, Allah’s favor toward us in what He has withheld of this world is greater than His favor toward us in what He has allowed us to enjoy of it.”
٢٢٨٥ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ، قَالَ صَالِحُ بْنُ مِسْمَارٍ: «ولَنِعْمَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْنَا فِيمَا زَوَى عَنَّا مِنَ الدُّنْيَا أَفْضَلُ مِنْ نِعْمَتِهِ عَلَيْنَا فِيمَا بَسَطَ عَلَيْنَا مِنْهَا»
