2230 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said, “I found in the notebook of Muhammad ibn Hatim, written in his own hand:” Bishr ibn al-Harith (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated to us; he said: Yahya ibn Yaman narrated to me; from ʿUthman ibn al-Aswad; from Mujahid, who said: “If a man were to spend an amount equivalent to Mount Uhud in obedience to Allah, he would still not be counted among those who are wasteful.”
