2188 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; ʿAwf ibn Jābir narrated to us, saying: I heard ʿAbd Allah ibn Ṣafwān—whose mother was Wahb’s daughter—report from his father, from Wahb, who said, “Affliction for the believer is like the hobble placed on a riding animal.”
