2179 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Ibrāhīm ibn Khālid narrated to us; Rabāḥ ibn Yazīd narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Ḥunayf who said: I heard Wahb ibn Munabbih say, “Knowledge can overstep its bounds just as wealth can.”
٢١٧٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ وَهْبَ بْنَ مُنَبِّهٍ، يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ لِلْعِلْمِ طُغْيَانًا كَطُغْيَانِ الْمَالِ»
