2169 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us; Bukayr ibn ʿAtiq said: “I brought Saʿid ibn Jubayr a cup containing a small draught of honey, and he drank it. Then he declared, ‘By Allah, this pleasure will not sit easy with me.’ I asked, ‘Why is that?’ He replied, ‘Because I drank it and savored its sweetness.’ ”
