Ziyad would also say to us, “Ask Allah, for He becomes angry with those who do not ask Him.” A man would come to Ziyad ibn Hudayr and say, “I intend to travel to such-and-such a district,” and he would reply, “Break up your journey with the remembrance of Allah—Exalted is He.”
