2156 – ʿAbdullah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Ibn Hafs narrated to us; Sufyan al-Thawri informed us; from Ibn Abi Khalid; from al-Shaʿbi, who said: “The people of Paradise will look out, while in Paradise, upon a group in the Fire and will ask, ‘What has brought you into the Fire? We only acted on what you used to teach us.’ They will reply, ‘We did teach you, yet we ourselves did not act upon it.’”
