2155 – ʿAbdullah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Hajjaj ibn Muhammad al-Aʿwar narrated to us; from Ibn Jurayj, who said: I said to ʿAtaʾ, “Here is Yusuf ibn Mahak wishing for death.” He censured that and said, “How can he be sure of the state upon which he will meet his end?”
