2146 – ʿAbdullah narrated to us; he said, “I found in my father’s notebook: Abu Muʿawiyah al-Ghalabi narrated to us; a man from al-Jazirah of the tribe of Qays narrated to me, saying: ‘It is written in the maxims of wisdom: Show gratitude to the one who blesses you, and bestow a blessing on the one who thanks you.’”
