2134 – ʿAbdullah narrated to us; a certain man narrated to me; he had heard Jarir narrate from Mansur, from al-Hakam, who said:

Ibn ʿUmar stated, “A person will never attain the essence of true faith until he abandons argumentation, even when he knows he is in the right, and refrains from lying when joking.”
