2127 – ʿAbdullah narrated to us; my father narrated to us; Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī narrated to me, from Muḥammad ibn Sawqah, who said:
“They relate that Ibrāhīm al-Nakhaʿī used to say: ‘Whenever we attended a funeral or learned that someone had died, the impact of it would be felt among us for days, for we knew that a decisive matter had come upon him, taking him either to Paradise or to the Fire. Yet you, at your funerals, converse about your worldly affairs.’”
