2126 – ‘Abdullah related to us; my father related to me; Rawḥ related to us; Sufyan al-Thawri related, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, who said:

“I am asked about a matter of which I have no knowledge, and nothing keeps me from replying, ‘Allah knows best,’ except the fear that people might assume that I do in fact know it.”
