2109 – ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; he said: Abū Maʿmar related to me; Jarīr reported to us from Mughīrah, who said:
ʿĀṣim ibn Hubayrah once caught sight of a ṭabl (drum) or a duff (frame drum). He snatched it from its owner and set about beating it, tearing it apart so that the man could no longer make use of it, all the while saying: “No devil has ever wearied me on their account as this one has.”
