2108 – ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; he said: Abū Maʿmar informed us; Jarīr reported to us from Fuḍayl ibn Abī Rufaydah, who said: ʿĀṣim ibn Hubayrah—one of ʿAbdullāh’s close students—said to me: “When you finish the adhān and have proclaimed, ‘Lā ilāha illā Allāh’ (There is no god but Allah), then add: ‘And I am among the Muslims.’”
