Al-ZuhdAhmad Ibn Hanbal

2095 – ʿAbdullah narrated to us; Abu Saʿid al-Ashaj narrated to us; Hafṣ ibn Ghiyāth narrated to us, from Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq, who said:

“ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Aswad arrived in Medina while his leg was afflicted. Yet he stood in prayer throughout the night until daybreak, leaving the injured leg slack and supporting himself on the other. He then led us in the ʿIshāʾ and Fajr prayers with a single wudu.”
