2084 – ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; Abū ʿAlī al-Ḥasan b. Ḥammād al-Warrāq al-Kūfī related to me; Ghannām narrated to us, from al-Aʿmash, who said: I heard Shaqīq supplicating:

“O Allah, if You have written us in Your sight among the ashqiyāʾ (the wretched), then erase that and inscribe us among the suʿadāʾ (the blessed). And if You have already written us among the blessed, then keep us firm upon it, for You erase whatever You will and confirm, and with You is the Mother of the Book.”
