2083 – ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; Yūsuf b. Yaʿqūb aṣ-Ṣaffār, the freedman of the Banū Umayyah, related to me; Abū Bakr b. ʿAyyāsh narrated to us, from ʿĀṣim, who said:

“Whenever Abū Wāʾil performed the prayer in his house, he would break into heartfelt sobs; and even if the whole world were offered to him on condition that he do so while anyone was watching, he would never have done it.”
