2069 – ʿAbdullāh narrated to us; he said: I was informed by Abū al-Mughīrah al-Naḍr ibn Ismāʿīl, the preacher, who said: “We were in the gathering of ʿUmar ibn Dharr on a night in the month of Ramadan. Ibn Dharr spoke, describing the dying person at the moment of death and the angels of mercy and torment who attend him. A young man suddenly sprang up and continued to scream and writhe until he died—may Allah have mercy on him.”
