2022 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us—my father narrated to us—Abu Ahmad narrated to us—Hasan narrated to us—from ʿAli ibn Mudrik, who said: ʿAlqamah asked al-Aswad, “Why do you subject this body of yours to such hardship while you are fasting?” He replied, “Ease is what I seek for it.”
