2018 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Abu Khaythamah Zuhayr ibn Harb al-Nasaʾi narrated to me; al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, from Jabir; ʿAtaʾ al-Khurasani told me, saying:

“They mentioned ḥajj (the major pilgrimage) and asked Uways, ‘Have you not performed ḥajj?’ He replied, ‘No.’ They said, ‘Why not?’ but he remained silent. Then one of them said, ‘I have a mount for you,’ another said, ‘I will cover the expenses,’ and a third said, ‘I will supply the provisions.’ He accepted their offer and performed ḥajj with what they gave him.”
