2013 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; Ahmad ibn Ibrahim related to me; Ahmad ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn Yunus narrated to us; Abu Bakr ibn ʿAyyash, from Hisham, from al-Hasan, reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Through the intercession of a man from my community, more people will enter Paradise than there are in the tribes of Rabiʿah and Mudar.”
Hisham said: Hushab informed me, on the authority of al-Hasan, that the man referred to is Uways al-Qarani.
Abu Bakr said: I asked a man from the tribe of Uways, “How did he reach that rank?” He replied, “It is the bounty of Allah; He grants it to whomever He wills.”
Abu Bakr added: Uways died in Sijistan, and when he was found there were burial shrouds with him that had not been with him
