2003 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; my father narrated to me; Ṭalq ibn Ghannam narrated to us; Kamil ibn al-ʿAlaʾ narrated to us, from Mundhir al-Thawri, from al-Rabiʿ ibn Khuthaym, who said to his household, “Prepare some food for me, for I wish to invite the poor among my companions.” So they cooked the food for him. He then went to the mosque, gathered the needy who were disabled, brought them home, and served them that meal. His family asked him, “Are these your companions?” He replied, “Yes, these are my companions.”
